Thomas Colville has been a private dealer in both American and European fine 19th and 20th-century paintings, watercolours, and drawings since 1972, helping to broaden the collections of many American and European museums, corporations, and individuals. While specialising in such American artists as George Inness, John LaFarge, and James A. McNeill Whistler, he maintains an extensive inventory of 20th century American artists with particular emphasis on artists working in abstraction during the 1930’s and 1940’s.
Thomas Colville Fine Art is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America and frequently exhibits at The Art Show in New York, has been a constant exhibitor at The Winter Show since 1990 and organizes The American Art Fair which he co-founded in 2009.
The gallery maintains showrooms in Guilford, Connecticut and Manhattan which are open by appointment.
